However, it’s pricey and there are a couple issues with the trackpad and webcam.

Still, this is an amazing option for those that want power in a slim package.

While it doesnt feel as premium as aMacBook Pro 14, it truly belongs among thebest Ultrabooksright now.

I find the trackpad to be annoying to use as well.

The Acer Swift X14 isnt the only light and thin laptop to come with a powerful GPU.

TheSamsung Galaxy Book3 Ultracovers a lot of the same ground.

At least, it has that same OLED screen withHDR.

Beyond the internal components, there arent any additional variations as there arent different colorways except for the screen.

Plus, it comes with Vesa Certified Display HDR True Black 500 to really make the colors pop.

Acer Swift X14 keyboard and trackpad

The colors are definitely impressive.

Specifically, it has 195% sRGB and 138.1% DCI-P3.

The keyboard is good enough, though I wouldnt consider it to be the most comfortable Ive ever used.

The trackpad, however, gave me some issues.

Those worried about security will be happy to note that theres a Kensington lock as well.

Beyond that, theres a 1080p webcam that unfortunately doesnt support Windows Hello Facial Recognition.

However, theres a fingerprint reader in the power button for that purpose.

But, it can handle much more intensive workloads as well.

This is surely due to that powerful GPU.

Acer Swift X14 underneath venting

Really, every aspect of the Acer Swift X14s performance is to be lauded in my opinion.

Even its thermal performance is good, with it only really heating up underneath a bit when pushed.

The audio quality is, as it is with most laptops, passable.

And, if you run this laptop hard, expect that battery to go down pretty quickly.

It does seem to charge up pretty quickly when plugged in.

But, this seems to be something that mostWindows laptopsdont do as well as they should.

Battery life: 4 / 5

Should I buy the Acer Swift X14?

This seemingly petite laptop has the power for gaming and video editing.

You cant say that about most Ultrabooks.

Youre on a budgetThis is not a cheap laptop.

With everything on offer, the pricing makes sense, but youre still somewhat in premium pricing territory.

Oh, and it comes in a distinctive Oatmeal colorway.

Of course, its more expensive and has a shorter battery life.

But, its just as robust and comes with just as gorgeous of a screen.

I did a decent amount of writing here, including this review.
