One of the advantages of theAppleecosystem is how interconnected all of its devices are.
Of course, there are some limitations.
If you want to do the same on an iPad, you need iPadOS 8 or later.
On top of that, you gotta ensure your carrier allows Wi-Fi calling.
And, even if you dont touch that phone, it still needs to be near the computer.
Theres also a little bit of initial setup as well discuss below.
To do that, openSettingsin your iPhone, then click onCellularorPhone > Calls on Other Devices.
Turn onAllow Calls on Other Devices, then turn on theApple computer or tabletyou want to enable.
Under general,check that Calls From iPhoneis checked.
On an iPad, you open theSettings app>FaceTime >Calls From iPhone, and enable it there.
Making a call using the FaceTime app
There are two ways to make or take a call.
Through the Facetime App or Contacts.
Open theFaceTime appandclick the button that saysNew Facetime.
Making a call using the Contacts app
Open theContacts app.
snag the contact you want to call.
On their contact card, youll see icons for message, mobile, video, and mail.
press eithermobileorvideoto initiate a call.
