How to create a Garmin Coach training plan
1.
Currently, Garmin Coach isonly available for running and cycling.
UnderRunning, youll find three different coaching plans.
Those are for 5k, 10k and a half marathon.
There isnt currently an option for training for a marathon.
So for the 5k plan, youll see that its designed for beginner runners and intermediate runners.
For the half marathon plan, youll see that its designed for intermediate runners.
This will help shape the plan based on your running experience.
Next, youll be asked your average running pace.
A quick Google of pace calculator will also help you work this out as well.
Pick your goal
What is your goal for completing your training plan?
Is it to complete it in a particular time, or just to simply run that distance?
Thats the next question youll be asked to help pick the ideal plan for you.
you’re able to also pick the days where youre available to fit training into your routine.
Youll also need to pick a day where you’re able to do your long run.
Hitcreate plan, and youll be prompted when your first planned run will take place.
That way you’ve got the option to check on your upcoming training without delving into the app.
To do this, you oughta share the plan to your watch and its simply done.
If you skip a workout, the plan will automatically adjust to factor that in.
To do this, go to your training plan in the Garmin Connect app.
Select your training plan and press the three dotted icon and selectReschedule.
Once confirmed, youll need to sync the changes to your watch again to tune up your plan.
