I’ve never understood the obsession withHDR.

“Does this display support HDR content?”

It was a dimly-lit event, but perhaps that was by design – all the better to showcase the vibrant colors of RTX HDR

is now a question I have to ask myself when I review a laptop or monitor.

Until yesterday, I was one of those people.

Well,Nvidia, you did it.

A bank of monitors set up at the Nvidia RTX HDR showcase.

In practice, that means more detailed contrast and more vibrant and true-to-life color replication.

On the bright side, many of thebest monitorsthese days do indeed feature HDR support.

But flipping on a filter and instantly getting better, brighter colors in my games?

That I will do.

Beyond that, this is also a way to make HDR content accessible toeveryone.
