For this review, I tested the 75-inch U9N.
Picture quality on the U9N is stunning.
Images are bright, and have exceptional detail and contrast.
The Hisense U9N is one of the brightest TVs we’ve yet tested
Colors pop without looking garish, and it has notably better motion handling than other Hisense TVs Ive tested.
Sound quality is another U9N strong point.
The Hisense U9N ultimately adds up to a great value.
The U9N has two HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K 144Hz support; additional HDMI ports support eARC.
(Works with Alexa is also supported.)
The U9Ns inputs include two HDMI 2.1 ports, and theres also anATSC 3.0 tunerfor receiving Next-Gen TV broadcasts.
Those results best other premium mini-LED TVs weve tested, and rival what you get with thebest OLED TVs.
The U9N’s picture looks uniformly good even when viewed from far off-center seats.
With its extraordinarily bright picture, the U9N looked fantastic when viewing sports.
The U9N also did a great job of upscaling the HD picture, making it look near 4K-like.
Darker content such as theAppleTV Plus showSeverancealso shone on the U9Ns expansive 75-inch screen.
A thick aluminum bezel houses front-facing and upward-firing speakers.
Other scenes from the sameSeveranceepisode demonstrated the U9Ns precise local dimming.
On the U9N, these fires blazed against a black background with minimal blooming effects.
The U9N’s solid motion handling also yielded benefits for sports, which looked fluid yet fully natural.
The U9N’s widely spaced support feet require an equally wide TV stand.
Hisense U9N review: Sound quality
The U9N features a 4.1.2-channel speaker system powered by 76W.
Around the back, a pair of built-in bass drivers handle subwoofer duty.
An array of audio adjustments are provided beyond the U9Ns basic sound presets.
The U9N’s Google TV smart interface.
The U9Ns bezel is angled on the sides to accommodate the TVs front-firing speakers.
This gives the TV a more premium look than other Hisense TVs, which have a more basic design.
Hisenses full-sized remote control has curved edges and a more solid feel than most other TV remotes.
A Game menu allows for easy gaming-related picture and sound adjustments
A centrally located mic button lets you selectively access Google voice commands when youve disabled the TVs built-in mic.
Taken in that company, the U9N is an exceptional value.
The U9Ns 4.1.2-channel speakers also deliver more powerful and immersive sound than the U8Ns 2.1.2-channel speakers.
Hisense’s full-sized, backlit remote control
Should I buy the Hisense U9N?

Value
Somewhat pricey, but a great value for a premium mini-LED TV.
But, its considerably more expensive than the U9N and lacks the Hisenses HDR10+ support.
Its also an exceptional value as we said in ourHisense U8N review.
