Netflix wasn’t the only streamer that failed to win the necessary votes to secure an Academy Award.
As such, I view them (rightly or wrongly) as streaming spectacles rather than big-screen offerings.
There’s no guarantee, then, that the world’s biggest streamers would’ve upset the odds.
The answer is simple: the competition,Oppenheimeror otherwise, was just too strong.
