Brane calls the woofer used in the Brane X speaker a Repel-Attract-Driver (R.A.D.).

For a source, I used playlists created in Tidal and streamed to the respective speakers via AirPlay.

The bass had the same deep reach Im used to hearing from systems with a subwoofer.

And the Brane X could play surprisingly loud without sounding strained or congested.

This was something: a compact portable speaker putting outtoo muchdeep bass for my taste.
