There are plenty of physical controls on the speaker itself for power, volume and more.
Thats the thing about the Tribit StormBox Flow.
It ticks all the right boxes but it wont stir up excitement.
Not everything needs to be exciting and the Tribit StormBox Flow is certainly dependable.
The Tribit control app lets you switch sound modes and customize EQ settings.
If thats what you need, you wont be disappointed.
It has a loose handle on one side so it’s possible for you to easily grab it.
It could also be hooked on certain things including a tree.
The Stormbox Flow is built to withstand being dunked under water for a small amount of time and is completely dust tight.
Because yes, the Tribit StormBox Flow is designed for the outdoors.
While it doesnt look massively robust, it offers IP67 waterproofing.
Battery life wise, its incredible.
It’s simple design, means the Stormbox Flow isn’t the most of exciting of speakers.
Bluetooth 5.3 helps here and also means drop-outs simply dont happen.
The Tribit StormBox Flow also pairs up with another speaker so you could enjoy stereo sound.
Its simple to set up via a couple of buttons.
It’s reasonable price tag means you can quite easily consider buying two to unlock the multipoint pairing feature.
Theres an EQ button so you might rotate through an XBass and audiobook mode.
It only drops to around 20-24 hours though, which is still more than good enough for most situations.
Still, the Tribit StormBox Flow is packing a punch here.
Pair up two speakers like I did and its surprisingly compelling with a wide soundstage.
I enjoyed hearing QueensUnder Pressureall around me.
Listening to Taylor Swifts 1989 album was also suitably vibrant, offering some smooth mids.
Its an enjoyable listen all around.
Just dont be surprised if you lower the volume a little more than usual.
Also, stick with the XBass sound mode where possible for the punchiest sound.
However, while far from a designing dream, it does all work suitably well.
On the side is the USB-C port, which isnt obscured by a flap or similar to ensure waterproofing.
Its still fine though and doesnt cause any issues.
You just might not be showing it off to all and sundry.

You want a straightforward speakerThe Tribit StormBox Flow has no airs or graces.
It simply just works pretty well without looking exciting.
You want great battery lifeUp to 30 hours is more than enough.
Now where did I put that charging cable?
It looks like everyones vision of a basic speaker, which isnt exciting.
You want the finest sound qualityCrank up the volume and the Tribit StormBox Flow loses its way a bit.
That wont be an issue for everyone but it may bother you after a time.
You want great app supportThe Tribit app is fine but its fairly rudimentary and doesnt exude class.
