Over the weekend, a new Game Boy emulator named iGBA was uploaded to Apples App Store.

But where do you stand if you want to play some retro Game Boy games on your iPhone?

Will Apple allow these apps?

The answer seems to be yes for now.

However, Apple says that developers are responsible for all such software and must comply with all applicable laws.

Apple told MacRumors that it initially approved iGBAs functionality before it realized the app was a knockoff.

The uploading and downloading of pirate copies of Nintendo games is illegal.

But how long this situation will last is anyones guess.
